About Me

Landscape photography has been a hobby of mine for the last five years.  I have been fortunate enough to travel to some fantastic locations during this time frame.  If for nothing else this blog will be a great place for me to jot down memories of some of favorite places and photos.  I am a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania native and currently work in the area as an Engineer/Project Manager.  Many of my shots were taken with an Olympus EPL-1, the more recent shots are with an Olympus OMD EM-5.  Constructive criticism is welcome!  I am new to blogging and am learning something new about photography every time I pick up my camera.

    Hi Mike,
I came across your blog searching for the waterfall near Borca di Cadore.
I want to ask you, how long is the hike from Borca to the waterfall?
And you say it is steep in some points…are those steep areas long? or just a few meters? or?
I would very much appreciate your reply if you will decide to reply to me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards
    Maria

The hike depending on your speed should take no more than an hour and a half. The steepness is somewhere between where steps would be nice versus the existing gravel slope. This is the case for most of the trail. It is by no means very difficult. The very end has a hundred yards of a somewhat steeper slope and has some steps. It should be a pretty easy hike for most. Let me know if you have any other questions! That is a great area to stay.
